The Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce seeks new Director of Events & Finance
We seek a talented and dedicated individual to support and direct events at our Chamber of 543 members. This position requires a well-organized person who can communicate professionally with our team of four and our membership.
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization, workflow, and marketing of all annual events. Including but not limited to:
- Legislative Breakfasts
- Preview Party
- The Showcase
- Leadership Symposium
- Pet Fair
- Golf Bake
- The Annual Dinner
- Monthly Business After Hours
- Internal bookkeeping. QuickBooks experience is a plus but training is available.
- Input all financial data into QuickBooks
- Produce monthly financial reports from QuickBooks
- Provide year-end reporting to our CPA firm
- The Chamber makes use of a CPA firm for annual taxes and payroll and an external bookkeeper to reconcile monthly reports and consult with us
- Serve as an integral member of our team of four Chamber employees.
- Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Exceptional project management skills
- Experience in digital communications
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Resourcefulness and strong decision-making capabilities
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Comfort and ease interacting with a wide array of personalities
The Chamber offers:
- Competitive salary based on experience (range of $55,000 - $65,000)
